A well-motivated client is very likely to achieve realistic goals. However, it is unethical to guarantee a cure. The control of thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviours always reside within the client. No client is “made” to do anything against their will using hypnosis.
Rev. Sheila M. Scott guarantees to apply her training, expertise and experience to your issues with the aim of achieving agreed goals in as reasonable time as possible. Estimates of the number of sessions required to ameliorate a condition given at the enquiry stage or during the first consultation, are given on the basis of the information presented at that time.
Estimates are also made on the basis of treatment being given to previous clients with differing case histories. Therefore, each client and the causes of their condition are unique. Estimates are only rough guidelines and are subject to change.

YOU ARE CONSENTING TO THE TERMS OF SERVICE.
If you choose to have hypnosis with me, you warrant that you do not have epilepsy, or severe mental illness such as Bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder, (Dissociative Identity Disorder).
I do not diagnose, treat or prescribe for any illnesses and disorders.
You must be 18 years old to receive hypnosis services from me. If you are under 18 years of age a parent or guardian must give written consent for you to receive hypnosis.
Clients Requesting Pain Relief:
Clients requesting hypnosis for pain relief are required to provide a letter from a medical doctor to me stating that hypnosis is an acceptable approach in their case.
Clients requesting Childbirth Hypnosis:
As a Practitioner of Simpson Protocol Foundational Birthing Hypnosis, I request permission to mail a letter to your care provider. As hypnosis is designed to mask pain, and as pain is considered highly relevant to the appropriate diagnosis of active labour, your care providers should be aware that hypnosis is being used. To omit this information could result in care that is not the best for you and your baby. It has been my experience that all the Registered Midwives and Physicians have found the standard form letter helpful. Please contact me if you have any questions or comments in this regard.
Conditions Requiring Medical Treatment:
For their own safety, I do not accept anyone with Bi-Polar Disorder, Multiple Personality Disorder (Dissociative Identity Disorder), Schizophrenia or any other significant Mental Illness or epilepsy because I am not trained in handling severe mental health issues.
In general, hypnosis encourages dissociation, and anyone who has challenges remaining oriented to everyday reality is in better care with a mental health professional. The research for epilepsy and hypnosis is unclear; contact me if you have questions. I reserve the right to refer any clients to professional medical care. I always recommend that clients work with their identified health professionals when using hypnosis, NLP, EFT, or other modalities. I believe that we are each responsible for our health, and my job is to assist clients in tapping into their best health and well-being.
All hypnosis sessions are done by Zoom Video Conferencing or Skype (no exceptions).
Payment is due before the sessions are given. You may pay-as-you-go.
There will be no refunds after sessions are given.
I require 24 hours notice if you want to cancel your appointment.
I reserve the right to refuse service to any prospective or current client without explanation. Posted fees and agreements are subject to change at any time without notice.
